Mega Man and Pac-Man have been further detailed in the upcoming "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Arcade Sushi on July 6, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Pac-Man will be getting an exclusive stage on the handheld version. The level features ghosts that harms the participants when touched.

However, the apparitions can be defeated after eating the special Power Pellet item. The same enemies will still hurt the opposition. The series creator added that the feature is completely unique to the 3DS iteration as the screen of the player with the Power Pellet will show something different when compared to what others are viewing.

Nintendo also provided a new look at Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt. The two characters are part of the final smash attack of Mega Man. Although both renditions only appear in the actual games for a few seconds, the publisher decided to also add the two as collectible trophies in "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS. You can find a screen of Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt near the top of this article (courtesy of the official Facebook site of the series).

The inclusion of Pac-Man was expected as a development team from Bandai Namco Games, the company behind the mascot, is helping Sora create the crossover fighting game. Mega Man, on the other hand, was a big surprise, especially considering how Capcom has been mishandling the popular franchise in the recent past. Pac-Mac was revealed during last month's E3 2014 while Mega Man was confirmed at E3 2013.

"Super Smash Bros. 4" for 3DS, which features other exclusive stages as well, has a new release date of Oct. 3 after being delayed from an expected summer launch. The Wii U game should be coming out shortly after with a holiday launch being planned. Nintendo will be distributing the two versions of the latest installment of the popular series. Both versions of the video game can be pre-ordered at Amazon: "Super Smash Bros. 4."
