According to a report by Polygon from April 4, Nintendo will air a special Nintendo Direct video broadcast on Tuesday, April 8, which will focus on providing new details for Super Smash Bros. 4.

Though it is currently unknown as to what will be discussed during the Nintendo Direct presentation, it is being speculated that there may be mention or details on a release date for Super Smash Bros. 4 for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

With the title confirmed for a 2014 release, there is the possibility we could hear details on a potential release date or release window during the video presentation on Tuesday.

Furthermore, the character roster for Super Smash Bros. 4 has not yet been filled. With only a portion of the roster announced thus far, it seems probable that we will see a new or returning character announced and shown during the Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct broadcast.
