Masahiro Sakurai has made some comments in regards to the attack priorities of the upcoming Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game, “Super Smash Bros. 4.” According to a report from Mii Gamer on Sept. 6, the game director talked a little bit about a potential scenario involving Pikachu and Pit.
Both characters can be seen in a new screen attacking each other. Pikachu was able to strike first with the Thunder Jolt long distance attack. Although it managed to hurt Pit, the maneuver is not powerful enough to interrupt Pit’s Upperdash Arm maneuver from executing. You can check out the new screen as well as a set of older shots in the slideshow near the top of this article and the comments from Masahiro Sakurai below (courtesy of Mii Gamer):
Although it’ll deal Pit some damage, Thunder Jolt isn’t powerful enough to stop the Upperdash Arm
Pikachu is one of the mainstays of the “Super Smash Bros.” series, appearing in every single video game. Pit was added to the roster with the release of the Nintendo Wii title, “Super Smash Bros. Brawl.” Both of the characters will be available in the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of “Super Smash Bros. 4.”
Masahiro Sakurai is currently directing the project, which is in development at Sora and Namco Bandai Games. “Super Smash Bros. 4” is projected for a 2014 release in North America. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Super Smash Bros. 4”
