Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, has disclosed new information regarding the special moves and attacks of one of the new characters found in Super Smash Bros. 4. According to a post on Miiverse from Jan. 27, newcomer Rosalina will have a powerful special move and a tactical attack allowing players to gain a tactical advantage while in battle.

Sakurai detailed on the official Super Smash Bros. Miiverse page that Rosalina, of Super Mario Galaxy fame, will be able to draw in weapons and items with her special move, tentatively and aptly named the Gravitational Pull.

This attack, when used properly, will give players an advantage over others as Rosalina can quickly steal items from players and use them to her benefit. Weapons will be disabled while using this attack. Find Sakurai’s full description of the Gravitational Pull below:

Rosalina's down special move, tentatively called the Gravitational Pull, sucks up items and weapons. Weapons will be disabled when using this move, of course. You have to shake the Wii Remote to perform this move in Super Mario Galaxy, but you won't need to do that in this game.

In addition to the Gravitational Pull special move, Rosalina will also have the Luma Shot attack to use as tactical method of battling enemies. The Luma Shot lets the player switch between controlling the Luma while next to Rosalina or away from her. This attack gives Rosalina a way to attack opponents from a distance. Find Sakurai’s full explanation below:

This is the Luma Shot, which highlights the different ways to control your Luma. You can switch between controlling the Luma alongside Rosalina or away from her.

Super Smash Bros. 4 is expected to be released in 2014 for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Expect to hear more on the title’s release date later this year.
