Another character could be announced in the near future for the upcoming "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Gamer Headlines on June 29, a Japanese poster showed off the roster for the crossover fighting game. The promotional image also includes a slot containing a question mark along with other characters that have been revealed so far.
Nintendo has announced 33 playable characters for "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U and 3DS. One of the slot, however, has been allocated to Mii Fighters. Players will be able to create their own custom fighters using a preset of three types: brawlers, gunners and swordfighters. You can check out a screen featuring the Mii Fighters from the official Facebook page of the franchise near the top of this article.
At E3 2014, Nintendo also announced that Pac-Man and Palutena will be playable. The latter was apparently leaked and hinted before an official announcement was made during the event. The publisher also teased that Mr. Game and Watch will be included in the upcoming title as the classic character shares the same year of debut as Pac-Man.
Furthermore, a recent leak from Gematsu also suggests that Nintendo is preparing to reveal a few more fighters. The notable names include Chorus Men from "Rhythm Heaven," Chrom from "Fire Emblem Awakening" and Shulk from "Xenoblade." Another representative from the "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" video games could be added as well along with the previously-revealed Greninja. It is unknown which pocket monster will be appearing as a new playable fighter in the upcoming game, however.
"Super Smash Bros 4" is in development simultaneously for Wii U and 3DS. Nintendo is planning to released the handheld game first as it currently has an official release date on Oct. 3. The publisher has been a little more vague when it comes to the high-definition console iteration as the company has only confirming that the software product should be launching sometime during the holiday season of late 2014.
