Hideki Kamiya has commented on the potential inclusion of Bayonetta in the upcoming Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game, “Super Smash Bros. 4.” According to a report by Attack of the Fanboy on Sept. 4, Hideki Kamiya was asked if he ever had a conversation with Masahiro Sakurai about bringing the shape-shifting witch to the crossover fighting game.
The game director behind the action-adventure series responded by saying that he wouldn’t be able to talk about the discussion between him and Masahiro Sakurai even if it did happen. However, he also hinted that he is a “Nintendo fan at heart” and that he “would be extremely honored” if one of his characters is featured in a video game from Nintendo. Even if there’s been discussion between me and Mr. Sakurai, obviously it’s something I wouldn’t be able to talk about. But I’m a Nintendo fan at heart. Even creating games with the Nintendo logo on them is really impactful for me. So if there was ever the opportunity to feature one of my characters in a Nintendo game, obviously I would be extremely honored.
Hideki Kamiya recently finished the development of “The Wonderful 101,” which will be released in North America on Sept. 15. He is also supervising the development of “Bayonetta 2” at Platinum Games. The sequel is expected to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U sometime in 2014.
“Super Smash Bros. 4” is also due to come out next year for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. You can pre-order the product from Amazon in the following link: “Super Smash Bros. 4”
