A new female fighter has been showcased for the upcoming Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game, “Super Smash Bros. 4.” According to a report by Polygon and the official “Smash Bros.” website on Sept. 12, Peach will be returning as a playable character in the crossover fighting game.
The princess first appeared in “Super Smash Bros. Melee,” which was released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2001. She was also part of the roster for “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” when the title came out for the Nintendo Wii in 2008. Peach is best known as being the damsel in distress for the “Mario” platforming games. You can check out several screenshots of her in action from the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions, along with several other shots, in the slideshow located on the top left-hand side of this article.
Peach is the 15th playable character to be confirmed so far for “Super Smash Bros. 4.” She is only the third human female fighter, joining Samus and Wii Fit Trainer. In the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, the princess is highlighted with a black outline. Masahiro Sakurai previously confirmed that the visual effect could be turned off, however.
“Super Smash Bros. 4” will be shipped by Nintendo for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms in 2014. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Super Smash Bros. 4”
