Alain Corre has commented on how the holiday release date of "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U will benefit the struggling high-definition console. According to a report from Nintendo Life on Aug. 23, the executive director of Ubisoft EMEA first discussed how well "Just Dance 2014" will perform on the Wii U. He believes that the dancing game is not only going to please existing console owners but also increase hardware sales.

However, Alain Corre admitted biggest release for the system is still "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U. He thinks that the fourth main installment from the "Super Smash Bros." series is going to increase the momentum in terms of hardware sales for the holidays. The executive also provided some input about how the previous games of the crossover fighting series gave him some of his best gaming moments, adding that the new title could end up being "magical" for the home console.

His praises did not end there, either. Alain Corre mentioned that Nintendo has made some of the best video game franchises. He specifically listed the recently-released "Mario Kart 8" as well the aforementioned sequel to the "Super Smash Bros" series. The Wii U had a rough start due to the lack of compelling software. However, Nintendo has been providing a better lineup this year with "Bayonetta 2," "Donkey Kong: Country Freeze," "Mario Kart 8" and "Hyrule Warriors."

A lot of players are still waiting for the launch of "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U, however. The handheld version, "Super Smash Bros. 4" for 3DS, is actually coming out earlier with a release set for Oct. 3. Despite the amount of anticipation, Nintendo has remained silent on the release date of the Wii U game.
