Nintendo has provided an updated list of release dates for “Super Smash Bros. 4” and other first-party Nintendo Wii U video games. According to a report by Player Essence on Oct. 31, the publisher disclosed the software release plans during the latest fiscal report.
Nintendo is planning three big titles for the next-generation system later this year. “Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games” will be released on Nov. 15 while “Super Mario 3D World” is coming out one week later on Nov. 22. “Wii Fit U” is expected to be the last 2013 first-party game for the Nintendo Wii U as it is set to launch on Dec. 13.
The company plans to start of 2014 with the release of “Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze” in February followed by the launch of “Mario Kart 8” later in the spring. Nintendo will then follow by releasing the aforementioned “Super Smash Bros. 4,” “Bayonetta 2,” “X” and potentially other titles by the end of next year.
The latest installment from the “Super Smash Bros.” is coming to the Nintendo 3DS as well as the Nintendo Wii U. Although both versions feature the same playable fighters, the stages and graphics will be different. “Super Smash Bros. 4” is being developed by the team of Sora and Namco Bandai Games studios.
