Super Shred Diet is to 2014 what the Paleo Diet was to 2013. With many New Year’s Eve resolutions featuring weight loss dreams, Dr. Ian Smith’s Super Shred Diet is promising big results, according to a Jan. 3 WebProNews report.
“Super Shred: The Big Results Diet: 4 Weeks, 20 Pounds, Lose It Faster!” is Dr. Smith’s follow-up to his 2012 hit, “Shred: The Revolutionary Diet: 6 Weeks, 4 Inches, 2 Sizes.” His formula? Combining a low sodium diet with timing.
According to the International Business Times, portion control and calorie counting are at the forefront of the Super Shred Diet. For those who abhor counting calories, this diet may be a quick fix. “Counting every calorie you eat in a day can be extremely difficult to do,” Dr. Smith told the Examiner. “Measuring is a completely different proposition and easy to accomplish.”
The author advises that the plan involves scheduling meals, mainly of plant-based foods in controlled portions, to create a “negative energy balance… where your body extracts energy from stored fat, thereby boosting calorie burn and reducing fat,” adding, “Most dieters don't realize that simply by cutting back as little as 20 percent at each meal, they can lose a significant amount of weight.”
The diet expert recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to discuss the diet plan. Detailed information regarding the Super Shred Diet is on the GMA website, including tips for “Week 1 Menu, Grocery List and Bonus Recipes.”
