A slice of Hollywood is coming to Framingham, MA this weekend as part of the annual Super Megafest convention; being held on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20.
The 2011 gathering features a unique mix of Hollywood icons, rock and roll legends and cult stars.
The main guest this year is Star Trek: The Next Generation and X-Men Trilogy star Patrick Stewart. Stewart, who currently stars on American Dad, is only appearing on Saturday.
Other notable guests include Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, The Goonies) and Anthony Michael Hall (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science).
Fans of the hit HBO series series True Blood are in luck, because Sam Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte is set to appear as well.
Scheduled guests also include Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World 1 & 2), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), Ron Ely (Tarzan, Doc Savage), Tracey Gold (Growing Pains) and Rex Smith (Trial of the Incredible Hulk, Street Hawk) among others.
Saturday night will also showcase the Come Together Mega Music Fest featuring Peter Tork (The Monkees), Pepper Town, a Beatles tribute band, Loose Salute and Niki Luparelli and the Gold Diggers.
Aside from celebrity guests this year’s event also features many notable comic book artists, writers and vendors selling sci-fi memorabilia, DVDs, comics, posters, cards and toys.
The Super Megafest takes place Saturday, November 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 20th from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel on1657 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701.
