The Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII (48), winning the franchise’s first Championship.
MVP of the game, Malcolm Smith, is bringing home more than just the Lombardi Trophy. The defensive end returned a Peyton Manning interception for a touchdown, earning a Chevrolet Silverado High Country for his performance.
The pick-6 went for 69 yards, and was, at that time, just the second interception that turned the game into a rout.
The vaunted Seattle defense shut down Denver’s high-powered passing attack, further supporting the claim that defense wins championships.
Chevrolet has a history of giving away their latest and greatest models for the Big Game. For being named Super Bowl XLVI MVP, Eli Manning of the New York Giants received a 2012 Chevy Corvette. In 2013, Super Bowl XLVII MVP Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens earned a C7 Corvette Stingray. A 2011 Chevy Camaro convertible was awarded to Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rogers of the Green Bay Packers.
Easily worth 50 grand, the Chevrolet Silverado High Country is a premium edition 4x4, what Chevrolet describes as “refined ruggedness.” The actual truck on the Super Bowl field was painted white, but other colors are available.View the slideshow to see more High Country pictures.
