Super Bowl XLVII preview: Baltimore vs. San Francisco (Video)

Super Bowl XLVII is just five days away as the Baltimore Ravens will tangle with the San Francisco 49ers as the Harbaugh (John and Jim) brothers will be on opposing sidelines.

Records: Baltimore 13-6, San Francisco 13-4-1

Kick-off: 6:30 p.m. EST

Television: CBS

Spread: San Francisco by 3.5

Over/under: 47

Last meeting: Baltimore 16, San Francisco 6 (2011)

Passing: The Ravens are averaging 276 yards per game while San Francisco is putting up 240 per game.

Rushing: Baltimore is averaging 148.7 yards per outing while the 49ers are averaging 236 yards per contest.

Passing yards against per game: The Ravens are averaging 286.7 yards against per outing while San Francisco averages 322 yards against per game.

Rushing yards against per game: Baltimore is averaging 128.3 yards against per game; meanwhile the 49ers are averaging 92.5 yards against per outing.

(Above stats from postseason)

Thoughts: The Ravens have had a magical run, defeating the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and New England Patriots this post season while the 49ers had a bye before beating the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons. I expect this game to be hard fought and low scoring in the first half. In the end, look for the Ravens to pick up a 23-20 victory to send Ray Lewis out as a World Champion. I’ll take the Ravens with the points and the under here.
