Superdome power outage: Power surge causes no power at Super Bowl XLVII

Tonight fans were enjoying Super Bowl XLVII and all of the fun. All of a sudden the game had to take a big break on Feb. 3. A power surge caused the lights to go out on the field. On Feb. 3, ABC news was keeping fans up to date on what was going on.

Players hit the field and started trying to stretch so that they would not have problems when they hit the field again. They said it could delay the game for 15 minutes or more while they were waiting for it to come back on. It seemed like everyone was a bit confused at first when it happened.

They didn't have anything planned to do when they lost lights at Super Bowl XLVII so of course they just talked about the game and waited it out. Fans were moving around and stretching their legs during the break.

At this time, they do plan to finish Super Bowl XLVII and are just waiting for them to get the lights fixed and going again. Keep your TV on and it will be back soon as long as everything goes as plans.
