Super Bowl XLVII will take place tonight in New Orleans, Louisiana as the Baltimore Ravens go up against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans of “The Big Game” will be watching on as for the first time in NFL history, two brothers will be going head to head for the Vince Lombardi trophy. Super Bowl XLVII has an official kickoff time of 6:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The performance of the national anthem as well as the halftime show have also become spectacles all on their own.
Prior to the start of Super Bowl XLVII, Alicia Keys (14-time Grammy winner) will be performing the national anthem – let's hope that she actually sings it live unlike Beyonce at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. Speaking of Beyonce, the former Destiny's Child member will be at the helm of the halftime show and despite her recent lip-synching debacle, she swears the performance will be live.
In all honesty I could care less if Beyonce sings live during the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show because I am more interested in seeing the San Francisco 49'ers battle the Baltimore Ravens for the win.
Are you all excited for Alicia Keys to sing the national anthem as well as Beyonce perform during the halftime show? Do you think there will be any lip-synching going on?
Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS for the official kickoff of Super Bowl XLVII.
CBS will also be providing a Super Bowl 2013 live stream for those of you who are unable to get to a television.
