Kelly Clarkson is one of the newest members of the NBC family courtesy of her upcoming advising gig on "The Voice" -- and now, she has performed one of the most-important songs that can be performed at any sporting event.
Before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLVI Sunday, Clarkson took to midfield in order to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner," and she quickly proved that she was the right choice for the job. Unlike Christina Aguilera last year, she did not flub any of the lyrics. In addition, she also had a drum background that kept the anthem going at a pace that was a bit pre-determined.
What did you think about this performance, and do you think that someone out there is going to start controversy over this? We'll have a full video of the performance as soon as it becomes available. Update: The video is now attached!
