Following the Super Bowl, Blake Shelton is set to appear in the season premiere of NBC's "The Voice" -- but before that, the country music superstar got an opportunity to shine performing one of America's most patriotic songs during Super Bowl XLVI.
Before kickoff, Shelton joined wife Miranda Lambert in order to perform "America the Beautiful" -- a song that has quite the storied past behind it already. Rather than trying to sing this without any music, Shelton and Lambert teamed up to give this classic anthem an acoustic feel. They certainly weren't givent he easiest crowd in the world to entertain (as they were just done booing the New England Patriots), but they did at least receive a nice round of applause at the end. (The biggest applause came when the video prompter showed members of the miliarty overseas.)
