The Super Bowl is over and whether your team won or not, you have to admit it was a very exciting game! Hopefully, you were able to enjoy some good food, drink and cigars while you were watching.
I spent my time with friends at Smokers Den in Clearwater, FL. Established in 2007, the shop is under new ownership as of February 1st. Morgan Jones, formally a VP of Sales at Camacho Cigars purchased the business and threw a great Super Bowl celebration this past Sunday.
Morgan and his girlfriend Leslie provided food, beer and wine for everyone who attended. There were cigar specials and raffles at the end of every quarter. The atmosphere was great and the crowd remained steady throughout the game.
There were two TV’s set up in the rear for the game and another large screen TV outside under a tent for those wishing to view the game outdoors.
For those that have never been to Smokers Den, the lounge has two distinct seating areas; one up front with a projection TV and another towards the rear. There is a small bar area / cashier counter in back. Smokers Den has a beer and wine license so you’ll be able to enjoy an adult beverage with your cigar.
Along each side wall you’ll see a long line of enclosed, glass front, humidified, cabinets that holds Smokers Den’s entire inventory. The selection is well represented with popular new blends and established brands. Some of the selection includes Illusione, Oliva, Drew Estate (Ligas and Acids), My Father, Berger & Argenti, Joya de Nicaragua, Carlos Toraño, El Tiante and many, many more.
In addition to the new beer and wine license, Morgan plans on bringing in more brands to increase the selection. He is also expanding the hours and will be open until 11PM on weeknights and midnight on the weekend.
