Most people start their healthy New Year's resolutions after the Christmas season for a few reasons. Hectic schedules settle, rejuvenated motivation kicks in, and that month-long holiday binge fest known as the month of December finally subsides -- that is, until the Super Bowl rolls around. And you know what they always say: when life hands you a shmorgishborg, grab your stretchy pants! But, of course, it would be in your best interest to get your sweat on beforehand.
Fortunately, according to new research from the American College of Medicine, you really can run your behind off -- to a certain extent, reports Equinox.com.
This weekend, the Pats and the Giants aren't the only ones who will be running. The Virtual Super Bowl Run is Sunday, Feb. 6 and starts at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $16.99. Register online. Participants receive:
- World Run Day - 2012 t-shirt
- Bib Number (downloaded)
- Your Name, City, State listed on our event site
- Link to the World Run Day Online Running Expo
- Instructions for posting pictures and results
About the Super Bowl Virtual Run
The Super Bowl Run is part of the Virtual Run Series, a collaboration of running events throughout the year meant to promote World Run Day, a world-wide event held annually during November. World Run Day was founded to promote the health benefits of running and encourage runners to donate to their favorite special charity.
