Super Bowl XLVIII is on Sunday Feb. 2, 2014. The Sunday Bowl is the biggest stage in the world. Thousands of people attend the game, and thousands of people gather to watch the Super Bowl on their big screen televisions. Along with the gatherings comes the consumption of large amount of foods.

Even people who are not football fans gather with friends to celebrate.

Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest day of food consumption in the United States after Thanksgiving. Large amounts of food are typically consumed on Super Bowl Sunday. So what do people typically eat while watching the Super Bowl?

Unlike Thanksgiving, there is usually no sit-down dinner. Instead, foods are served buffet style. Usually finger foods are eaten so people can eat and watch the game at the same time.

Many pizza delivery businesses say their orders double because pizza comprises roughly 60 percent of the take out ordered on Super Bowl Sunday.

Roughly 28,000,000 pounds of chips which if laid end to end would stretch for 293,000 miles.

Approximately 90 million chicken wings are consumed.

About 8,000,000 pounds of guacamole are consumed during the Super Bowl, if all the guacamole consumed was to be spread over a football field the spread would be 11.8 feet deep.
