It’s not too late to add another snack to your Super Bowl spread. At least it isn’t when the snack is as easy as this peanut butter cup popcorn! Sweet and salty, this peanut butter popcorn with chocolate drizzle and mini peanut butter cups is sure to be a hit at your Game Day party or during your next movie night.
Ingredients:
- 8 cups plain popped popcorn (approximately 1/3 cup unpopped)
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips, melted
- 1 1/2 cups Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl and salt to taste. Set aside.
Mix the honey and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes, then remove from the heat and add the peanut butter. Stir vigorously until the peanut butter is incorporated into the mixture. Mix in the vanilla.
Immediately pour the peanut butter caramel over the popcorn and gently stir with a long-handled wooden spoon until coated.
Spread popcorn on a large baking sheet. (Line with parchment paper for easy clean-up.) Using a small spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over the popcorn. Let sit until chocolate hardens.
Stir in the Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and serve.

Ingredient tip: Air-popped popcorn is best for this recipe. If you prefer to use microwave popcorn, be sure to get popcorn without extra butter as this could make the end popcorn soggy.
Shopping tip: If you live in the Bensalem, PA area, I found the best prices on natural peanut butter (I prefer Smucker’s Natural Creamy), Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and popcorn at the Neshaminy Target. You can also use standard peanut butter cups and simply chop them up.
