Super Bowl party highlights, celebrity sightings and more

This past weekend some major stars were on the scene at the Super Bowl and all of the pre-parties. Below are some tid bits from a few bashes:

  • Alicia Keys, the 14-time Grammy winner took center field at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA while delivering her touching performance of the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVII. The singer wore a fitted red dress paired with an 18kt yellow gold and diamond Marina B Kar Collar. Keys' look not only matched her stunning performance, but also re-confirmed her role as a style icon.
  • The night before the big game former NFL star and Live with Michael and Kelly Host Michael Strahan and FOX Sports personality Erin Andrews, hosted the VIP Third Annual Tequila Don Julio Sports & Entertainment dinner at the Audi Forum New Orleans. Andrews and Strahan were excited to come together with their close friends and family to trade opinions on the outcome of the Super Bowl but the two were aligned on the 49ers as the expected victor. Strahan also gave Andrews advice on how to mix up the perfect cocktail to enjoy for the Big Game, using his favorite spirit Tequila Don Julio 70. Guests dined on a specialty three course dinner with Don Julio cocktail pairings and were relieved to take a moment from the busy weekend to enjoy an intimate, luxury gathering. Other guests in attendance at the dinner included Lil Jon, Gayle King, and Bill Simmons. Following the dinner, the night progressed into the late night party at the Audi Forum where celebs partied late into the night where they enjoyed Tequila Don Julio bottle service and danced to Solange, Lil Jon and Diplo DJ sets. Sofia Vergara chatting in the VIP and drinking Tequila Don Julio with friends. Chase Crawford and Josh Hutcherson holding court in the VIP with friends, but Josh (very casually dressed in a trucker hat and jeans) ended up on the dance floor dancing to Lil Jon and Diplo. Stacy Keibler dancing in the VIP area, but noticeably avoiding her ex Geoff Stults. Lil Jon and Diplo drinking 1942 as they did a surprise duel DJ sets Ryan Kwanten drinking and toasting with 1942 with his Dad, both of whom noted that it's their favorite tequila. Other celebrities in attendance: Aaron Rogers, Aaron Paul, Jeremy Renner, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Kate Walsh, Ana Faris, Ashley Greene
  • On Friday night, Belvedere Vodka – the world’s first super premium vodka – sponsored the 10th Annual “Leather & Laces” star-studded extravaganza in New Orleans. Celebrities and sports fans alike sipped specialty Belvedere cocktails and feted the glitz, glamour and excitement of Super Bowl Weekend at Second Line Stages with hosts Kendra Wilkinson and Jenny McCarthy. Kendra arrived alongside hubby Hank Baskett, posing confidently in a barely-there sheer black dress. Later Kendra pumped up the crowd with DJ Michael Jerome with a Belvedere cocktail in hand, then graciously chatted with fans by the stage. Jenny McCarthy looked svelte in a one-shoulder aqua and blue minidress, and Anthony Anderson stopped by to take in the Cirque USA performance. On Saturday night, Belvedere Vodka – the world’s first super premium vodka – sponsored the second evening of the 10th Annual “Leather & Laces” star-studded extravaganza in New Orleans. Celebrities and sports fans alike sipped specialty Belvedere cocktails and feted the glitz, glamour and excitement of Super Bowl Weekend at Second Line Stages with hosts Brooklyn Decker, Rachel Leigh Cook, Josh Henderson and Jamie Chung. The four hosts were all smiles, posing for photos arm-in-arm all night. Jamie Chung ran up to Josh Henderson to give him a big hug when he arrived, and Josh Henderson was later spotted snapping photos of the Cirque USA performers from VIP. Belvedere Vodka also partnered with 1OAK, one of New York City's hottest nightlife destinations, to host a one-night-only Super Bowl party on Saturday night in New Orleans. Brunette bombshell Maria Menounos stopped by the soiree wearing a skin-tight red dress, joining fans in celebrating the Big Game with Belvedere cocktails.
  • Playboy brought a New Orleans-style vibe to their legendary party held during Super Bowl weekend with help from the iconic Louisiana brand and sponsor, Tabasco Original Red Sauce. Tabasco welcomed celebrities and athletes to celebrate the biggest weekend in professional football, with DJs Jesse Marco and Devin Lucien and a performance by B.o.B. The event also featured a pop-up by Bootsy Bellows with a VIP room hosted by David Arquette at Jax Brewery Bistro Bar in New Orleans. Once inside, guests were invited to put on Mardi Gras masks, sip cocktails and enjoy delicious food seasoned with Tabasco Original Red Sauce from celebrity Chef John Besh (recipe below). As celebrities walked off the carpet into the VIP area and bar they were challenged to try Tabasco in its rawest form – 10 times hotter than the traditional sauce. Highlights from the evening include: Playboy party host David Arquette manned up and immediately stopped to try the Tabasco mash. It was so hot he rushed behind the bar for a drink to cool off. It took all of New Orleans finest to escort both Snoop Lion and B.o.B from the red carpet into the Tabasco sponsored party. Snoop had a total of six uniformed police officers trailing him to ensure he made it to his own private mezzanine overlooking the party complete with his own selection of playmates. As B.o.B made his way into the party he too was escorted by both an entourage and police officers. Surprisingly, foodie David Burkta wasn't up for the Tabasco challenge as he waited for husband Neil Patrick Harris to walk the red carpet. Once Neil was done taking photos the two were whisked inside the party to enjoy a performance by B.o.B. from a private table. Rascall Flatt's Joe Don Rooney and former Playmate of the Year, Tiffany Fallon left the kids at home to party at Playboy and posed for photos as they fed each other Tabasco (photo attached). Guy Fieri was treated to an assortment of Tabasco spiced appetizers prepared by fellow celebrity chef and New Orleans legend John Besh. Football player Jeremy Shockey was too scared to try to actual Tabasco mash, but tried to take his own bottle of hot sauce with him to his VIP seating area.
