Joe Flacco had just won the Super Bowl and was named the game’s MVP. There is no doubt he was super excited but during that excitement he let the F-bomb slip after the game, according to E! News on Feb. 4.
Flacco more than likely did not mean for his excitement to be picked up by the microphones, but unfortunately it did which allowed the viewers at home to hear it as well.
The Parents Television Council (PTC) is very upset about the whole situation. The group has called the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to take action against CBS for allowing Flacco’s F-bomb to air.
The PTC president Tim Winter released a statement regarding Flacco’s enthusiasm:
"Despite empty assurance after empty assurance from the broadcast networks that they would never air indecent material, especially during the Super Bowl, it has happened again. No one should be surprised that a jubilant quarterback might use profane language while celebrating a career-defining win, but that is precisely the reason why CBS should have taken precautions."
The PTC is still bringing up the infamous Janet Jackson incident during the Super Bowl nine years ago and feel indecent material is being showed again.
Joe Flacco is scheduled to appear on “The Late Show With David Letterman” Monday night and there is no doubt he will be questioned about his F-bomb that was yelled to lineman Marshal Yanda. Do you think action should be taken or was it a simple mistake?
