The idea of watching the Super Bowl on the big flat screen television with friends and family appears to be gone forever. According to Geekwire on Friday, the fans are looking for other ways to watch the game including to live stream the Super Bowl.
Based on a new survey released from QuestionPro, it shows that people are planning to use the Internet to stream the big game from their laptops or mobile devices. This means that the game will still be watched, but not everyone is willing to sit in the living room and spend all their time sitting on the couch watching the game.
Over 21 percent of respondents said they will stream the Super Bowl instead of watching it on television. That number is up substantially from previous years and it appears to be an ongoing trend.
While there are many reasons that people decide to watch the Super Bowl on other devices rather than a television, it has some people wondering about the impact of the Super Bowl commercials. Companies pay millions of dollars to get their product in front of consumers and there is a question on whether the game is being watched or if the commercials are being viewed too. Game day for the Super Bowl is February 2, 2014.
