Orange County restaurants are gearing up for Super Bowl parties with to-go orders and in- restaurant dining (big screen TVs and all). This weekend, Sunday, Feb. 3, matches the San Francisco 49ers with the Baltimore Ravens.
The question besides who will you cheer for is what will you be eating?
Here’s a quick two-minute warning list (time is short).
1. Slater’s 50/50: This restaurant screams Super Bowl. Beer Cheese Fries, Buffalo Chicken Mac n’ Cheese, Fritos Crunch Burger and Fried Chicken & Pancakes. Also in the mix—craft beers and “plenty of big screen TVs.” Anaheim Hills and Huntington Beach.
2. SOL Cocina: Super Bowl heaven, perhaps. The Baja-style Mexican restaurant offers four different Party Packages for watching the game at home. The choices include carnitas, chicken, carne asada street tacos, cheese quesadilla rolls, coconut calamari and other options. And, wait. There’s more! SOL has extended Happy Hour on Super Bowl Sunday with hours from 2 p.m. to close. Multiple TV screens are throughout the restaurant. Newport Beach.
3. ESPN Zone: Super Bowl die-hards. It’s definitely themed appropriately and has 120 flat screen HDTVs. There’s a minimum food and beverage fee of $10 per guest/per hour during the game. There are plenty of meals and appetizer choices. They do not take reservations. Anaheim, Downtown Disney.
