Beyonce Knowles is the entertainment this year for the Super Bowl halftime show where she will be performing live, hopefully. Everybody keeps asking, “Will she lip-synch?” But the real question is what does ‘Sasha Fierce’ do to stay so fit and keep her body looking incredibly strong and sculpted? Here are the secrets to getting a hot body like Beyonce.
She isn’t just a talented singer, Beyonce Knowles puts on shows with physically demanding performances that include difficult choreographed dance moves while wearing 5-inch heels. Whether she’s touring, preparing for a film or performing at the Super Bowl, her job requires her to stay in shape and she works hard at maintaining her fit and fierce look.
Beyonce’s workout regime incorporates old school body sculpting moves that change the physique quickly. She starts with the essential cardiovascular exercise that is needed to get the heart rate up and burn fat; which is usually on a treadmill. Beyonce then transitions into power moves that work several muscle groups at once like reverse lunge presses, jumping lunges and dumbbell front squats.
She says, “I keep sit-ups interesting by doing them on the ball. I can do 10 push-ups at a time! I’m actually very proud of that because I could never, ever, ever do one.” On the days that Beyonce is performing she keeps her exercise lower key with an hour of yoga or Pilates as the shows themselves are a workout and she needs to keep her energy up.
Beyonce admits that staying fit is very hard work and her true motivation comes from within, “The truth is, it’s a lot of sacrifice. It’s more about your mental strength than physical strength. You have to push yourself. It doesn’t matter what trainer you have. And it doesn’t matter what program you’re on. You have to be healthy and make the right choices.”
