Super Bowl halftime: Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers and biggest LED screen

The Super Bowl halftime show for the 2014 NFL Championship game will feature Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. On Jan. 31 the New York Post reported on what will make this show stand out from all the others.

Touchdown Entertainment is in charge of all the details surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show. Ricky Kirshner, the owner of the company that has managed seven Super Bowl halftime shows, said they have created "the largest ever LED screen in the stadium."

Everyone attending the game will be asked to stay seats during the show.

“Everyone will get a wool hat with a built in LED screen in their warming package under their seat cushion. We’re asking for audience participation. People, please don’t leave your seat," Kirshner said.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be seen live on an LED screen that is 800,000 pixels. The screen will take up the entire stadium.

If you were to look at the Grammys where there’s a backdrop, this extends that backdrop to the entire stadium,” said Kirshner.

This is also anticipated to be one of the coldest Super Bowls in history. Kirshner said they are ready for anything and that each stadium has its challenges in preparing for the big halftime show.

Kirshner cannot give away what the Super Bowl halftime show will consist of, but did say one thing.

“It’s probably more rock music than we’ve had in the past," he said.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will have one awesome Super Bowl halftime performance to put on with the LED screen extravaganza.
