Super Bowl halftime: It’s that time of year again when the Super Bowl halftime show is announced, and it seems Bruno Mars will be the star this 2014 to wow audiences away at the halftime show. Although no official announcement has yet been made, an inside source has confirmed that the “Locked Out of Heaven” singer is set to belt out his music at the big event next year, TVGuide reports this Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Super Bowl halftime show 2014 was said by the NFL insider to have its entertainer announced tomorrow in New York’s Times Square on Sunday in honor of the first full day this season for national football games. With the talented Bruno Mars at the helm, it’s likely that America won’t be disappointed.
Although it was only a source of the Associated Press that made the pre-announcement, several other big sites have confirmed the news that Mars will be the big entertainer on stage next year.
Bruno Mars, already a Grammy winner, released his very first album back in 2010, titled “Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” He came out with his second album only two years in later in 2012, titled “Unorthodox Jukebox,” and with it came a couple of big music hits, including the insanely popular “Locked Out of Heaven” and most recently, “When I Was Your Man.”
In terms of the Super Bowl halftime show, Mars will have a lot to live up to this 2014. The last entertainer was none other than Beyonce, who sang and danced with the hotly anticipated performance of Destiny’s Child in a special reunion. Past performers included Madonna, the Black Eyed Peas featuring Usher, and The Who.
Next year’s Super Bowl is set to premiere on Feb. 2, at MetLife Stadium in N.J.
