On Super Bowl Sunday, the last thing you want to do is spend your time in the kitchen instead of watching the game. You need to be prepared with a huge amount of food as well as a plan for some items to make on short notice just in case. Need some sweets to make for the game? How about chocolate and vanilla almond football cupcakes? In addition to them tasting great, the best thing is that they require only a few ingredients and a little time to create.
What you need:
Box cake mix
2 containers of frosting
Tuxedos Milk Chocolate Covered Almonds
White gel icing tube
Step 1. Mix the box of cake mix with the necessary ingredients that typically include eggs, vegetable oil and water.
Step 2. Once the cupcakes are finished baking, remove them from the cupcake tins and let them sit to cool.
Step 3. Cover the top of the cupcakes with frosting.
Step 4. Top each one with a Tuxedos Milk Chocolate Covered Almond.
Step 5. Use a small white gel icing tube to make a horizontal line going across each almond.
Step 6. Use the gel to make three vertical lines over the horizontal line.
You're all set to chow down! All the steps from start to finish took me about 45 minutes and the cupcakes taste amazing. They're super easy to do the day before or even the day of the big game.
Enjoy the Super Bowl!
