Super Bowl Boulevard has taken over Times Square in NYC, with green Astroturf covering the pavement, goal posts lining the sidewalks along with Super Bowl themes everywhere you look. According to NJ.com on Jan. 28, NYC has turned Broadway from 34th and 47th streets into a tribute to Super Bowl 2014.
The Super Bowl is taking place across the river in Rutherford, N.J., where the mayor ordered a sign, which is no bigger than a piece of plywood. The sign says that Rutherford is proud to be the home to Super Bowl XLVIII.
You wouldn’t know this by looking around Rutherford, but in the heart of NYC it looks like the entire Super Bowl event is about to kick off. From players giving out autographs to pictures taken with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the Big Apple is offering something for everyone between Tuesday and Saturday.
Most of the Super Bowl Boulevard entertainment is free. You can register for your Boulevard badge here at NFL.com, which is recommended if you are coming into the city for any of the many events.
