Although the forty eighth annual Super Bowl is going to take place at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey until February 2, 2014, football fans can get their game on before the big day at Super Bowl Boulevard in the heart of New York City from January 29, 2014-February 1, 2014 from noon til 10 p.m.
Super Bowl Boulevard will run along Broadway between 34th and 47th streets in Manhattan. The event itself is free, but the toboggan ride is $5, which is actually pretty cheap. Giant Roman numerals XLVIII will be on display in Times Square, and NFL players will sign autographs from noon til -6 p.m at a stage on 39th Street. Concerts will take place on the stage from 8-10 p.m nightly. Macy's store will have a special NFL shop on its fourth floor from January 17-February 4, 2014.
So if seeing the game live at the stadium is not in the budget this year, fans can see a lot of festivities leading up to the event in just a few blocks.
