Super Bowl 48 is in the books and it wasn’t even close. The Seattle Seahawks jumped out to an early lead of a safety and never looked back as they defeated the Denver Broncos, 43-8. Cliff Avril (former Detroit Lion recovered a bad snap 12 seconds into the game, leading to the quickest score in Super Bowl history. Seahawks Malcolm Smith of Seattle took home the MVP honors, thanks to turning an interception to a 69 yard touchdown. Here are the stat leaders for the contest:

Seattle’s win in Super Bowl 48 gives Seattle their first ever World Championship (1-1 in Super Bowl play) while the loss by Denver moved them to 2-5 all time in the big game.

The NFC now holds a 26-22 lead all-time in Super Bowl play and Seattle’s win is the fifth in the last ten years for the NFC.

The unofficial attendance for Super Bowl 48 is bring reported as just over 82,500, making it the seventh highest attended game in Super Bowl history.
