The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl 48 in convincing fashion 43-8 last night and less than 24 hours later Vegas sports books are already thinking about next year.

According to a fansided report on Feb. 2, early oddsmakers have listed the Seahawks as 7/1 favorites to repeat as champions in Super Bowl 49. Seattle is followed by Denver and San Francisco at 8/1, New England at 12/1 and Green Bay rounding out the top five at 20/1.

The hometown Lions are listed at opening odds of 40/1. With a new coaching staff in place in Motown, fans, much like the Seahawks fans have been for decades, are hoping to have the long awaited breakout season and make a run at a Super Bowl title.

It is a very hard thing to repeat as champions in the NFL, and making the Seahawks the favorite is the obvious thing for Vegas sports books to do, but like the Ravens, Giants, Packers and Saints before them, no matter how great a team is one year, it takes a lot to win it all again.

Don't worry NFL fans, the 2014 NFL Draft is only two months away and the preseason will be here before you know it!
