Super Bowl 2013: What you need to know; who’s playing, Beyonce half-time show (Video)

Sunday, millions of Americans prepared for the 2013 Super Bowl by preparing food and a full menu, the house for visitors, bought the big screen TV and just waited for the big game to begin. Millions of people have been Goggling information about this year's Super Bowl game, and have created a buzz. Last year, more than 111 million people watched the Super Bowl, according to the Reporter News. It is one of the most watched events of the year, every year. Whether or not you have been watching or following the NFL football games this year, this is the basics of what you need to know.

The Super Bowl 2013 kick off start time is 6:30 p.m. ET and the game will be shown live on CBS or it can be seen by live stream online.

Super Bowl XLVII is the San Francisco 49ers vs. Baltimore Ravens and it is being played in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The odds are slightly in the 49ers favor but these odds have been changing all week. Grammy-Award winner Beyonce will perform the half-time show and she has been preparing for weeks for her performance.

The commercials during the Super Bowl are more important than the game itself to some people. These are the best commercials of the year and companies around the world pay millions of dollars for a 30-second commercial to air during the big game. Over the next view day’s millions of people will vote for their favorite Super Bowl commercial.

Another important fact to know and one of the most interesting things about this year’s game is that the coaches for both NFL teams are brothers. John Harbaugh has been coaching for the Ravens for five years and Jim has been the 49ers coach for two years. They were born just 14 months apart, and John is oldest.
