Super Bowl 2013 is just a week away and ahead of this big event the much anticipated Super Bowl commercials are starting to show up online. Go Daddy’s commercials are notorious when it comes to showing skin during the Super Bowl, but not this year. Go Daddy released one of it’s commercials to the Huffington Post on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 and it shows that the scantily clad beauties are not something fans should anticipate this time around.
Go Daddy made a promise to cut down on the sexist commercials before the Olympics, and it looks like they are sticking to their word by the looks of this commercial. The ad features couples from around the world talking about a big idea they have and how they should register it online and run with it. In the end only one couple did just that and they are seen on a private jet with a “sky waitress” bringing them refreshments.
Go Daddy has teamed with the .CO domain to motivate entrepreneurs to buy a .CO with Go Daddy. This is the third straight Super Bowl that they’ve advertised the .CO domain and targeted entrepreneurs. CEO Juan Diego Calle said “We’re going to inspire people to seize the moment and actually launch their big idea online!”
While the half-undressed ladies of past seen in the Go Daddy Super Bowl commercials are not present this year, the ad might still catch your interest. The domain registry “built its brand in part on strip-tease marketing that used scantily clad celebrities and models,” according to the Huffington Post. Will Go Daddy's new strategy of using fully clothed people in their ads be as successful for advertising this year? Only time will tell.
Danica Patrick does a cameo in the Go Daddy Super Bowl ad, can you spot her?
