Super Bowl XLVII is set for February 3, 2013 in New Orleans. The San Francisco 49ers will face the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl 47. Time to plan your Super Bowl party! Wings, pizza, and chips and dip are great for game day snacks, but don’t forget about dessert!
Represent your favorite team with baked goods. There are plenty of decorations to add to baked goods for game day. Frost cookies or cupcakes in your teams colors, add football cupcake toppers or colored sprinkles. Or, you could make it a little more interesting!
You can make a football field cake and decorate it with your team’s logo, a score board, or a football cake on top of the field. No time for an elaborate cake? No problem. Make a dozen cupcakes and line them up four by three and cover them with green frosting. Add some yard lines and a football pop-up and you have yourself a football cake made of cupcakes!
If you have friends and family rooting for different teams make a football field mat the size of a cake pan; make cupcakes to represent each team and place them on opposite sides of the field. The side that has the least amount of cupcakes left will determine the team with the most fans. Click here for an example.
