Sunshine, Clouds, and Afternoon Rain Sunday

Highs and lows for Saturday
Highs and lows for Saturday
Scott Derek

The day started off with sunshine, but as we reached our convective temperature(the approximate temperature that the surface must warm to in order for clouds to develop) we were mostly cloudy thanks to the thick cumulus deck. We even had some showers and low-topped thunderstorms(with hail) just after sunset. Despite that we reached a high of 70 at Philly International Airport after a low of 51.

Pieces of energy spinning around an upper level low continue to push through; a cold front will provide rain Sunday night into Monday

Overnight we'll have showers and low-topped thunderstorms before Midnight, but then partial cloudiness with lows around 50. Sunday shall feature sunshine and then increasing clouds with rain holding off until after dinnertime. Highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70 accompanied with a westerly wind between 10-15mph.

After rain overnight through Monday morning we'll have a sunny afternoon as highs will be in the middle 60s; there will be a short wave pushing through the Delmarva overnight into Tuesday so there may be some light rain, but otherwise a few clouds with lows in the upper 40s and then highs Tuesday will be in the middle 60s.
