The Central Coast offers a wide selection of tasting events throughout the year but there is one wine and food event that really encompasses all the Central Coast has to offer. Sunset Savor the Central Coast from September 26-29, 2013 at Santa Margarita Ranch, highlights all the various wine regions and appellations of the Central Coast from as far north as Monterey and Santa Cruz to as far south as Ventura. For wine enthusiasts this event offers a wonderful opportunity to learn and explore the areas wonderful wines.
Savor the Central Coast could be considered a wine lovers paradise. One can choose between tasting wine from some 50 plus wineries, enjoy sampling the wine winners of Sunset International Wine Competition at the Central Coast Pavilion, or opt to attend one of several seminars moderated by Sunset Wine Editor, Sara Schneider at Winemaker Central. The wine seminars available at this time are:

Unique Whites of the Central Coast
There are other special events and activities catering to a wine enthusiast.
Plant Your Vine in Cambria on Thursday, September 26, 2013 takes you to the Stolo Family Winery & Vineyards for a day of planting a vine and tasting of cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with winemaker Nicole Pope followed by lunch.
Chardonnay: From Grape to Glass with Edna Valley Vineyards on Friday, September 27, 2013 which will give one the opportunity to learn and experience the ins and outs of Chardonnay growing from the grape to tasting the wine. This adventure includes a farm to table lunch prepared by the fabulous Thomas Hill Organics.
Sunset in the Vineyard at Vina Robles on Saturday, September 28, 2013 affords one the opportunity to enjoy the wines of Vina Robles and many other Paso Robles wineries as you watch the sun set while enjoying the music of two time Grammy award winner Colbie Caillat. In addition you will dine under the stars with a sit down dinner from Vina Robles winery chef Thomas Drhos or enjoy a picnic bag with specialty food items.
Some of the wineries you might want to check out are Arthur Murray Vineyards, Caliza, Castoro Cellars, Daou Vineyards and Winery, Ecluse Wines Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, Riverbench Vineyard & Winery, Roxo Port Cellars and Vines on Marycrest to name a few. Many of the Vintners’ Associations will be serving a selection of wines from their distinct regions.
