Fair weather will continue across northeastern Ohio today through early tonight. Low pressure will move into the Great Lakes late tonight. Ahead of this system, clouds will spread across northeastern Ohio overnight, and a few rain showers are possible by daybreak Wednesday.

During the day Wednesday, the low will track into Ontario, dragging a cold front eastward across our area. The front will produce scattered to numerous rain showers across the entire area Wednesday. It will become breezy as well.

Colder air will spread across the region Wednesday night on gusty west to southwest winds. Scattered rain showers during the evening will change to snow showers overnight.

It will be windy and colder with scattered snow showers possible Thursday as a cold upper level trough swings eastward across the state.

Here is the forecast: For today, it will be mostly sunny with highs climbing to around 50 degrees. Winds SE 10-15 mph.

Tonight, becoming cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the mid 30s. Winds SE 10-20 mph.

Wednesday, cloudy and breezy with showers likely. Highs will be in the low 50s. Winds S 15-25 mph.

Wednesday night, rain showers likely early, changing to snow showers overnight. Lows will be around 30.

Thursday, mostly cloudy and windy with a chance of snow showers. Highs will be around 40.

Extended Analysis: A warm front will lift northward toward the area Thursday night and Friday. It will remain mostly cloudy and there will be some light precipitation across the area during this period. At this time, it looks as if the precipitation will start as snow Thursday night, then continue through Friday morning, eventually changing to light rain Friday afternoon as temperatures warm. Any snow accumulations from this system should be light.

Occasional rain showers will continue across the area Friday night as the warm front lifts north toward Lake Erie. A cold front will move across the region early Saturday. Colder air will cause temperatures to slowly fall during the day Saturday. Rain showers during the morning will change to snow showers during the afternoon.

Scattered snow showers will be possible Saturday night and Sunday as another arctic air mass spreads across the region.

Here is the extended forecast: Thursday night, mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers after midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with snow showers during the morning, then a chance of rain showers during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees.

Friday night, mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Lows will fall to the low to mid 30s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Highs will be in the low 40s.
