Sunny Obama, the newest of President Barack Obama’s two dogs at the White House, was either feeling a little feisty, in need of a good nap and a non-First-Lady-styled snack, or maybe just jealous that another cutie was in the room on Wednesday when the White House’s Portuguese water dog knocked a little girl over, according to the Huffington Post on Wednesday.
First Lady Michelle Obama wasn’t watching the dog very closely when she brought it into a room where children from United States military families were working on holiday trimmings and decorating arts-and-crafts. In no time, Sunny the dog focused in on two-year-old Ashtyn Gardner and knocked her over.
After the dog knocked the girl over and even licked her face, the media basically responded with a resounding “How cute!” Of course, those media folks have probably never been next to the First Lady while she was holding a dog on a leash and then gotten knocked over and licked on, either.
No word as to whether the little girl is complaining of aches and pains – and looking for a good lawyer – yet.
