Sunny Cross was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated on the morning of Jan. 27, 2013. Until recently, no one even knew her name, but thanks to the MTV reality television show "Catfish," Sunny's DWI arrest is headline news. The young blond was arrested at 8:20 a.m. in Fayetteville, Ariz., according to TMZ. She was released at 9:39 a.m. after posting bond in the amount of $1,055.
"Catfish" is a series of cautionary tales about people whose online relationships turn out to be very different from what they expect. In Sunny's episode, she discovered that her online beau was actually a girl by the name of Chelsea.
In addition to suspicion of DWI, Sunny Cross was arrested for following another vehicle too closely and driving on the wrong side of the road. Thanks to her appearance on "Catfish," everyone knows about the unfortunate incident. However, she doesn't appear contrite based on her messages on Twitter. The reality star joked, "Last night was hilarious" and "Well I guess it's safe to say last night was an epic fail."
Sunny Cross also used her Twitter account to refute TMZ's claim that they phoned her and to lament Harvey Levin's decision to do a story on her. "Find a celebrity to harass," she wrote. "Must be a slow day at the office."
