Sunny and mild today, even warmer on Sunday (Video)

High pressure will slide overhead today bringing us a beautiful late winter day. We will see sunny skies with afternoon high temperatures topping out near 50 degrees, except cooler near the lake shore.

The high will move off to our east early tonight and a warm front will lift northward toward the area late tonight. It will be mostly clear early, but clouds will begin to increase late tonight as a warm front approaches from the southwest. Lows tonight will fall into the low to mid 30s.

On Sunday, the warm front will move through early in the day. It will become mostly cloudy, however it should remain dry. As the warm front lifts to our north, a mild southerly flow will increase across the area. This will help to boost high temperatures to near 60 degrees.

A cold front will move toward northeastern Ohio Sunday night. Showers will spread across the area overnight in advance of this front. It will be a mild night with lows only falling to the low 40s.

Occasional showers will persist through the day on Monday as the cold front slowly makes its way eastward across the state. Highs on Monday will be around 50 degrees.
