Sunny and dry weather continues today, but showers and storms return tonight

Another mostly sunny and dry day is expected across northeastern Ohio today as high pressure slides to our southeast. The return flow on the back side of the high will help to boost temperatures into the low 80s this afternoon. Moisture will also be on the increase today.

A warm front will lift northward across the area tonight, accompanied by clouds and the threat of scattered showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday and Tuesday night as a cold front moves slowly southward across the region.

It looks like the front will be slower to exit than originally forecast. Therefore, we can expected scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to linger into the day Wednesday. We will begin to dry out Wednesday afternoon as high pressure builds across the region.

Tonight, increasing clouds with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows will be around 60. Winds W 5 mph.

Wednesday, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 70s.
