Sunflower Markets are bringing some great bargains to your table this week. Remember that if you shop on Wednesday, you can take advantage of all of prior week’s sale prices as well as the current ones.
Next week’s big sales include California Peaches at 48 cents a pound. This is the time to experiment with some of those canning recipes and save out the really great ones for when the Palisade Peaches come in from the western slope in August.
There is also California Corn on the Cob priced at 4 for $1. It would be great with some $2.99 a pound chicken cooked out on the grill. Corn done on the grill is tasty and easy. Simply Recipes explains it well.
Only through 6/15 they still have red seedless grapes for 59 cents a pound and mangos 2 for $1. Red Cherries are just $2.49 a pound. These make for a great fruits salad base. Maybe you want to try a smoothie with them. Chill the fruit you want to use. Consider freezing the grapes instead of using ice cubes for a more flavorful drink.
Also on sale for one more day is their white cheddar cheese in a block for $2.99. Save almost 50% compared to national brands of shredded cheese by shredding it yourself. London Broil Steaks were just made for the grill. At $3.99 a pound put a couple in the freezer for economical and tasty summer fun!
Your local Sunflower Market is south of 80th on Wadsworth in Arvada. They still pay you 10 cents a bag for bringing your own in to use.
