Sundy Carter of "Basketballs Wives LA' is back in the news. The notorious season 3 trouble maker was pulled over on Kenneth Road and Hillcrest Avenue in Glendale, Calif. early Monday morning. She is suspected of drunk driving and was arrested around 1 a.m. When approached by officers, Sundy was said to smell of alcohol and she was reportedly slurring her words according to a Tuesday report by the Los Angeles Times.
When spotted by Glendale Police, Carter allegedly was driving in the wrong lane after crossing over a double yellow line. Sundy agreed to submit to a breathalyzer test and was found to be at over twice the legal limit with .18%. To make matters worse, she was also cited for driving without a license.
Sundy Carter was a newcomer to the VH1 hit "Basketball Wives LA" for season 3. She is the former girlfriend of married NBA player Larry Hughes.
Sundy's DUI arrest is just another negative for the reality TV star after a really tough rookie season. She spent much of her time on "BBWLA" embroiled in drama that she created and battling with a majority of her cast mates.
Drama escalated quickly between Sundy and Draya during the season because Sundy attacked Draya's past as a stripper and some issues she had with parenting. When in battle, there are no rules for Sundy and she hit below the belt several times. Finally, having had enough of the constant picking, Draya punched Sundy and left her with a black eye.
The drama didn't stop there though and Sundy entered into some crazy drama with Brandi Maxiell. The season-ending drama between Sundy and Brandi enraged "Basketball Wives LA" fans when Sundy used Brandi's cancer battle and difficulty having children to hurt her in an argument.
Given her past as a woman who had an affair with a married man that resulted in a child, Sundy really had a lot to say about other cast members. Likely, her high drama was an over-the-top attempt to garner ratings for reality TV but it certainly didn't win her any fans. News of a DUI arrest really isn't that shocking and if she returns to "Basketball Wives LA" for season four, it certainly will be a hot topic.
