Sexy soulful Jazz with Saxophone player Ray Silkman November 10, 2013 at the Grand Ballroom 6351 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago IL (312) 970-1008, Price: $18. For the last 17 years Ray has been putting smiles on the faces of jazz lovers all over the Chicago-land area. Ray's audience varies in age but not love of beautiful music.
Ray Silkman, aptly named, speaks abundance with every note played. His handsome face and finely tuned body is an added attraction as you listen to the music that seems to take you away from your cares and worries. Joy is the favored response when Ray begins to blow his saxophone. Men and women alike beam with joy as they sway to and fro with the rhythm of the beat. Its like watching a surgeon performing a delicate operation. Getting people out of their seats to dance is still hard. The image of your six grade dance is still fresh in the mind even 30 years later. But Ray has a knack of breaking the icy fear of dancing in public for people. We have dancing with the stars, there should be a show called "Ray Silkman breaks the ice".
Ray is warming of hearts and feet all over the Chicagoland area. But November 10, 2013 you can catch Ray Silkman and his Sax at the Grand Ballroom on the south side of Chicago, the home of great music. The Grand Ballroom is located at 6351 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago Illinois (312) 970-1008. Tickets are $18. Dinner, jazz and a Steppers Afterset completes a night of great music, Sundays with Ray Silkman and anticipating more. Check Ray Silkman's performance page for additional performances.
