Sunday Open Mic At Ashkenaz

Open mic lovers can fill their Sunday evening with the songwriters’ open mic night at Ashkenaz. The monthly event features a variety of musicians and talents. Tonight’s open mic is hosted by Mana Maddy who provides insight into musicians performing and keeps the audience entertained in between sets.

Ashkenaz has one of the best open mic events in the Bay Area thanks to their policy on original songs only and always hosting a variety of performers. Open mic is open to solo, duo, or trios only. Sign up is available upon arrival. The order of performances is drawn randomly from a hat to keep things interesting. Each performer, excluding the feature act, receives five minutes including set up and breakdown time. February’s featured guest is singer-guitarist Owen Roberts of the soulful, gritty duo Shady Maples.
