Sunday, March 25: Interactive web services unite churches around the world

World Revival Church of Kansas City, Missouri, along with various other church denominations around the world, will UNITE for an interactive service on Sunday, March 25, 2012.

Revival Wired, will be live-streamed across the Internet, starting at 10:00 a.m. CDT. These services are unique because all churches engage and participate in the collective worship, offering, and sermons. Camera feeds and high-speed Internet connections will allow each congregation to see the other, and share responsibility for different parts of the service.

Rev. Steve Gray, senior pastor of World Revival Church, is the visionary behind this one-of-a-kind service. "I wanted to create church services where we talk back and forth, worship together and pray for each other, connecting churches worldwide," Rev. Gray said.

While different denominations within a community have united for Interfaith worship and dialogue, Rev. Gray is the first to create an Interfaith atmosphere that spans the globe. Rev. Gray continues, "unique to this interactive connection is the relationship the churches share. There’s no denominational, legal or financial connection." The result is an increased unity across denominational and cultural lines, more energy within individual congregations, and a feeling of encouragement, as local church members connect in a fresh and innovative way.

This is a monthly enterprise which began in October 2011, and Rev. Gray looks forward to new congregations joining each month. The following churches will participate in the March 25 Revival Wired:

  • World Revival Church in Kansas City, Missouri
  • Faith Alive Family Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
  • Jyväskylän Cityseurakunta in Jyväskylä, Finland
  • Terebint Church in Punthorst, The Netherlands
  • Canadian Revival Center in Prince Albert, Canada
  • World Revival Church North, North Kansas City, Missouri
  • Strong Tower Worship Center in Ashland, Kentucky
  • Fountain of Life Church in Panora, Iowa
  • Gate of Destiny Worship Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
  • Freedom Life Center in Evansville, Indiana
  • Forward Church in Cary, North Carolina.

Brent Rudoski, pastor of Faith Alive Family Church in Canada, said his life and ministry have been positively influenced by World Revival Church and the interactive services. "It’s awesome to interact with different churches all over the world!" he said. "It produces a lot of unity and strength with everyone pushing toward the same goal."
