Tomorrow, on Unregualar Radio, the infamous Herr Doctor Gothenstein will be calling in the 5:00 p.m. hour to regale listeners with the German accent he has used to annoy friends and family for decades.
Doctor Gothenstein appeared in the movie Gothenstein. His name is the eponym of the monster he brings to life. The movie is in post production and is the creation of the team Hartman and Zarbock who have an interest in not letting German Expressionism die.
Unregular Radio is an internet channel. The Unregular Radio show that the good doctor (well, maybe not good) will appear on is the Experimentally Ill Show of Lawrence Hollie and Mike Phelan O’Toole.
Hollie and O’Toole are behind a film festival of the same name. The festival evolved out of a desire from the duo to reward quality creative efforts that may be overlooked by more pretentious “festival” outlets.
If you’ve listened to some of the past shows, you quickly realize this is not a conventional show. If you have any sympathy for the lads, hope that the authorities are not listening in.
For more information regarding the whole Experimentally Ill scene and where to tune in, you can check out the website here.
Give the show a listen. You may never be the same.
Disclosure, The Boston Film Industry Examiner has been intimately involved with the Gothenstein project.
