The final 'Sunday Streets' of the season will take place this Sunday on the Great Highway from 10am-2pm. This will be fun for the whole family. The purpose of 'Sunday Streets' is to create a safe, car-free place for people to enjoy the weekend in various San Francisco neighborhoods. Last years events, over two weekends drew more than 15,000 people. This year the program was expanded to six weekends.
The main event area will be located on the Great Highway at Lincoln Way. Enjoy free bike rentals provided by Bay City Bike Rentals and Tours. If you are going to head down on your own set of two wheels the Sports Basement 'Lube Fairies' will be on hand to provide free basic bike maintenance. At the main event area you will also be able to pick up a snack from local vendors.
The YMCA of San Francisco and Stonestown Family YMCA will be in charge of the kids area. Several games including 'Leaping Lemur' and a hula hoops obstacle course will be set up.
